Your ancestor Wilfred Derouin was brother to my ancestor Jean-Baptiste. The mormon info came from my research, and it appears the Bloridt name was not correct. She was definitely Olive Gladu. Daughter of Pierre, son of Andre, son of Joseph, son of Pierre, son of Nicolas, son of Jean Gladu dit Cognac son of Francois. I can also tie your Derouin line back to Robert Derouin. Please feel free to email me at debmenk@hotmail.com. Delta County Genealogical Society (http://www.grandmastree.com/society/immigration/ch-de.htm) has records of a Wilfred Derouin immigrating to Delta County on 5 Dec 1894, Book 8, Chapter 32. Posted: 27 Sep 1999 11:41AM (http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.gladu/3.4.15/mb.ashx) I am looking for info on Marie Olive Gladu or possibly Marie Olive Bloridt b. My family shows Gladu with at least one son named Wilfred/Wolfred/Wolfrid, b.18July1851 at St. Janvier, Cte Terrebonne, Que The Mormon site shows a Mose Derouin married to a Bloridt (with the same first name M. Olive) with one son Jean Baptisti b. 16Feb1854 at St. Jerome, Que who had numerous children, most of whom died Jean Baptisti died in Schaffer MI, where some of Wilfred's sons were born, and died. As you can see, Wilfred Jean Baptisti may be brothers, but I can't seem to make a connection, nor do I have any other info on M.Olive Gladu?Bloridt or her family. Could this have been one of those dit names I've heard of? Thanks in advance for your help, Anne email pageminer@aol.com |
