They were married Feb. 26, 1838. Moise was born 1814 and Olive in 1823. Looking for death dates and family information concerning where they lived and children. I know of one son Joseph, who resided in the Escanaba, MI area. I beleive there to be another son Mitchel also of that area, but can not find any information. Thanks

Re: Moise Derouin family KRISTINE ANDERSON (View posts) Posted: 13 Dec 2003 3:19AM GMT Classification: Query Surnames: Moise Derouin was/is related to me. i have the complete family tree. my mother was a Derouin, her father was louis Derouin, and her grandfather was joseph derouin and i believe moses derouin was her great-grandfather. they lived in the Wells, Michigan area and Ford River Switch area near Escanaba. My mothers brother, William Derouin did an extension family tree, going to Canada and searching the records. My mothers family could all speak french-candian.

Jean-Baptiste married Azelda Thibault (also known as Exilda). This Azelda/Exilda Thibault Derouin is NOT the same person as the Exilda Derouin of Wilfred's line. J-B and Azelda had 14 children. The first 12 died before adulthood. #13 and #14, both daughters, lived into their nineties and had many many descendents. These two daughters settled in Racine Wisconsin and have 200+ descendants throughout the U.S.

Toussainte married Marcelline LeRoux.

Wilfred married Matilda LeRoux.

Moyse married Philomene Caron.

Going backwards: Moise Derouin, son of Joseph Drouin and Louise Charbonneau, married 1810, Ste. Anne des Plaines.

Joseph Drouin, son of Etienne Drouin and Marguerite Berloin-Nantel, married 1782, Terrebonne.

Louise Charbonneau, dau of Jerome Charbonneau and Charlotte Martel, married 1775 LaChenaye.

Etienne Drouin, son of Etienne Drouin and Elisabeth Gagnon, married 1747.

Looking for information on Zotgiue J Derouin his father was Mose Derouin, mother was Philomine. He married my greataunt Lyda Demars in 1911. They lived in Escanaba, MI most of their lives.

This is the only known info I have on them
